I received LTR 12C asking for form 8962 and a copy of 1095-A. How do I know how much to pay if my original 1040 shows I should receive a refund?

The letter specifically said to NOT send 1040X. If I was expecting money back on my original return and now after amending my taxes it shows that I owe, how do I know how much to pay? Do I pay the amount on my 1040X even though it specifically said not to file a 1040X? Do I pay the amount that I owe on my 8962 minus my previously calculated refund on my original 1040?

The IRS is asking for a copy of your Form 8962 and Form 1095-A.  The link below has information on filing Form 8962 and Form 1095-A to comply with the IRS request for these forms that you may find useful.
