Your amended return may have included additional credits that the reduction of taxable income made you eligible for, when you were not originally eligible. In that case, the IRS did not make any automatic adjustments. My suspicion in this case is that your amended return is in processing, and in the meantime the IRS automatically adjusted your original return for the unemployment compensation exclusion, without adding the credits.
When your amended return is processed, the IRS will do the necessary accounting on their end, and make sure that your account is made current. So, at that time you probably will receive the rest of the amount shown due to you on your amendment.
