I purchased my copy of Turbo Tax from Costco,including free state tax filing - when I tried to file it required payment - how do I get my free state tax filing

Sorry, but that is a point of confusion for many people.

For desktop...One free state's download software set is included so you can use the one state for free.....but actually "e-filing" that state (or any other sate you buy as an add-on) is $20-$25. (Except NY )

You can print the state and mail file it for free ( OK...paper and postage cost ).

TurboTax software is not even allowing the one free state software download. It charged me already for it…
