If you would like to delete the credit follow these instructions:

  • Open or continue your return.
  • Click deductions and credits
  • In the Education section, select Revisit next to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)
  • Select Delete next to the student you want to remove
  • Select yes to delete the student and all related education forms.

It may be beneficial to pay the upgrade fee to obtain the credit.

You can use this credit for the first four years of college when working towards a degree.

  • The maximum credit is $2,500 per eligible student.
  • Up to $1,000 can be refunded to you.
