I own a home with boyfriend

I own a home with my boyfriend, filing separately. Do we fill the liable mortgage portion with half of the mortgage amount or both with the full amount for the mortgage since we are both technically are liable for the full mortgage?

If you are each claiming the mortgage interest on your own tax returns, then enter half on each return.
