I never got my taxes back when I filed this year with TurboTax deluxe. It only shows that I owed the IRS and I am certain that I should receive taxes back. What did I do?

It is not possible to owe federal tax to the IRS and get a federal refund.  It is one or the other.   If you had a federal tax due amount on line 37 of your Form 1040, then you are not getting a federal income tax refund.  You just had to pay the amount you owed by April 15, 2024.     It is possible for you to owe federal tax and get a state refund---is that what you mean by "I am certain that should receive taxes back?"    Does your state return show a refund?
