I need my box d control number from last year its the same this

Is this for a W-2? If so, box D on a W-2 is for a control number. This is just a payroll processing number and is not required (some employers don't list one at all) by the IRS or TurboTax.

You may omit the entry in TurboTax. If you imported the W-2, you may need to delete it and enter manually.
