I need help. This app has already decided I get $0 on my return, and has not asked for my 2018 documents. I don’t know what information it is going off of. How do I start a step by step process b

It starts at $0 for everyone. If you haven't entered your 2018 information yet, TT has no information and no reason to change your tax liability to anything other than zero.
