When did you mail your 2018 return? Did you file it as a late return only recently, or did you file it last year in normal filing season?
"I received confirmation that they were filed."
I don't know what you mean by that. I presume you printed, signed, dated, and mailed it. TurboTax does not mail it for you. And TurboTax has no way of knowing if you actually physically mailed it or not.
Why was your efiled 2019 return rejected? Was it due to the wrong 2018 AGI?
Oh no! You don't get confirmation when you mail a return. And did you use use the online version this year to do 2018? Online is only good for 2019. What did the email say? Was it for paying the fees or that the return was Accepted?
if you used Online to do 2018 you really filed it on 2019 forms and you filed it as your actual 2019 return. That's why 2019 is rejecting. You have a problem.
Check and see if you efiled it and it was Accepted.

Don’t forget your state. And you will have to print and mail your returns. So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
