Are you referring to the desktop product's license code? If so, hopefully you're not on some screen in an Online account. Underneath your question is displayed "Online TurboTax" so that's confusing. Just checking.
Yes, I think I may be on an online scenario. I've been using TT for years, but this is the first time I can't sign in.

Your situation is still not clear, and with little information we're still having to guess a bit at this point. It would be helpful if you describe your situation in full, and please describe the screen you are referring to.
See if any of the following is what you are trying to do:
I don't know on what screen you are trying to enter the license code. Did you already prepare an Online return by mistake, have finished, and are now trying to enter the license code in the File section to "pay" for your Online product? If so, that can't be done. If that's your situation, we can tell you what you need to do.
Or are you in the process of installing your desktop product, and it's asking you to log into your online Intuit Account? If so, you don't log in with the license code. If you already have an Intuit Account, you would use your existing user ID and password. If a person doesn't have an Intuit Account, it allows one to create one at that time.
If you bought a desktop product (CD/download), you have to install the product and enter the license code in the desktop interface when prompted as part of the installation procedure. You do have to also sign into (or create if you don't already have one) an Intuit Account as part of installation. That links the license code to your Intuit Account.
If you already have an Intuit Account, but can't log into it due to User ID/password issues, we can tell you how to recover an Intuit Account. Occasionally people may have even more than 1 account.

FAQ: How do I install and activate my TurboTax desktop product (CD/download)?
Be sure to enter the code without any hyphens. I made that mistake.
