I'm receiving the error, "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again," when I try to start. How can I move past this or contact tech support?

I receive this error before I have a chance to select a product. I've selected "Retry" multiple times but I keep receiving the same error.

I'm receiving the error, "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again," when I try to start. How can I move past this or contact tech support?

Try these options to fix the issue you are having

 

If you are using TurboTax Online

  • Check ‌your browser's settings. (Clear your Cache and Cookies)
  • Check on your internet connection
  • Try using a different web browser 

If you are using TurboTax Desktop

  • Make sure the software is updated. 
  • If you haven't rebooted your computer, please do
  • Check your firewall and antivirus settings. Make sure they aren't blocking any feature of the software. 

** If you are using the phone/tablet app, try changing to laptop/computer if possible. If you do not have access to a computer, switch to a web browser within your phone or tablet, and sign in from there.

I'm receiving the error, "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again," when I try to start. How can I move past this or contact tech support?

It didn't fix the problem. I spent six hours total with three different people in tech support. They didn't resolve the issue. The following day, I couldn't get in touch with tech support. I am still unable to use Turbo Tax.
