Yes. You can file for an extension up until 11:59 pm
tonight in your time zone.
An IRS extension gives you until October 16 to
file, but it won't give you until October to pay your taxes. Those
are still due on April 18.
You can request an extension in any of these
ways:
- Search
for extend inside your TurboTax program. Then click "Jump
to" link and follow the instructions.
- Download
Form 4868 from the IRS, print it, fill it
out, and mail it by no later than April 18. Complete instructions are on
the printout.
Most states issue an automatic extension when a
