What do you mean by "employment status"? Where does TurboTax ask for your employment status? There is no place on the tax form for employment status.
Depending on the nature of your disability you may or may not be able to work, and you might choose to work or not work.
For the most part being disabled does not make any difference in your federal tax return, unless you are blind. There is a slight possibility that you would qualify for the credit for the elderly or the disabled, but the income limit for that credit is so low that hardly anyone qualifies. If you receive Social Security disability benefits your income is probably too high to get the credit.
Some states might give you a credit, deduction, or other tax benefit on the state tax return for being disabled.
