I'm a 17 year old student living with my mother. i recently filed my taxes for the first time. Would that make my father unable to claim me as a dependent???

That depends on two things. 

• First, whether you indicated on your tax return that someone could claim you as a dependent (see screenshot below).  
• Second, do you qualify as a dependent for your father.
