I lost my driver's license & currently have a paper temp ID until I receive my new ID in the mail. Do I enter license # and issue/expiration date from the temp or wait?

I can't e-file until I enter my driver's license or state ID info, but currently only have a paper temporary ID issued by the New Mexico MVD until I receive my new driver's license in the mail (lost old one).

I would wait.

The ID number that NM assigns to you has to match what you enter for IRS verification. A rejected return can be a pain, so it is best to be sure you have the correct number from your permanent ID before proceeding.
