I have started my 2018 return with turbo tax but I think I fogot to transfer 2017 over. Is it too late to do it now?

At the top left hand corner it says transfer 2017 return. But I've already started 2018.

You can only transfer before you start so you would have to start a new 2018 return, go up to FILE - NEW.

But I don't understand where you are seeing Transfer now after you started?
