You wrote: "I have my PIN number," and you provided the 6 digits.
However, you didn't say what type of PIN, so we have to guess a bit. Is it an IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) provided by the IRS to certain victims of identity theft, or to users who opted into that program?
If that is your situation, and if you are referring to an IP PIN, then here's a route to enter the IP PIN:
- With your return open go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then TOOLS.
- In the Tools window choose TOPIC SEARCH.
- In the search line enter IP PIN without quotes.
- In the results list select IP PIN (it may already be highlighted),and either double-click on it, or click GO.
- The next screen should ask: "Were you assigned an Identity Protection PIN?"
- Continue that interview.
