I have income listed in blocks 1a and 1b on form 1099-k from Payment card network transactions. Do I add these two together for reporting on my small business Schedule C?

Hi there-

Yes you can add those two boxes together and report the income on your Schedule C. 1a is when the card was present and 1b is when the credit card was not 'present'- as in you keyed in the number and didn't swipe.

This is not correct. 1b is already included in 1a.

Enter the amount of Gross Receipts from your 1099-K as Business Income

Remember that it reports the gross amount of the transactions. It doesn't include any adjustments for credits, refunds, discounts, or fees.

You’ll have a chance to enter these as self-employment expenses in that section of your Business.
