I have an Intuit Turbotax account created for a class I took over 5 years ago. How do I close that account without affecting any seperate intuit accounts

TurboTax accounts are not linked to each other, nor do they have any effect on each other. You can simply abandon and ignore that old account. It will have no effect whatsoever on any other accounts you have.
