I have already filed my 2018 taxes, now for 2019 I need to submit my estimated taxes. TurboTax is fixated on my 2018 taxes. How can I skip 2018 and get to 2019?

You can use 2018 TurboTax to calculate your Estimates for 2019.  You will have the option to include any changes in income or deductions that you anticipate for 2019.

To do so, please follow these instructions:

• With your tax return open, search for 1040-es (be sure to include the dash) and select the “Jump to” link.
• Answer "Yes or No" to the question "Do you want to change your W-4 withholdings for 2019?"
• On the next screen, Review Your Estimates, select "Review Now". Answer the questions about things like your 2019 filing status, income, and deductions.  
• Eventually, you'll come to the "Print Vouchers?" screen. Answer "Yes" so your 2019 1040-ES payment vouchers can be printed.

There is no 1040-es. That seems to be the problem. I didn't have estimated taxes in 2018, but I do now. There was no 1040-es, consequently, when I search, there is not result, nor is there a "Jump to" button. Surely TurboTax has run into a scenario like this in the past where a customer's tax situation changes and they need to start estimating and paying quarterly taxes.

@mightydubster  What version of TurboTax are you using?

@TurboTaxRachelW My response apparently got eaten. It is Home and Business 2018. Do you need anything more specific than that?

Are you using the Online Self Employed version or the Desktop Home & Business program?  Estimates are in both.

You can just type W4 in the search box at the top of your return , click on Find. Then Click on Jump To and it will take you to the estimated tax payments section. Say no to changing your W-4 and the next screen will start the estimated taxes section.

You use W4 in the search box.  If you use 1040ES I think it takes you where to enter Estimates you PAID.

Awwww,  in my Desktop program it didn't work unless I typed a small "es".  So 1040-es got me to the Jump link.  And you have to hit FIND on the Search Box.
