I have a w-2 question

I have a direct deposit on 1/4/2024. But it is for work in 2023. So this should not be included in my 2024 w-2. Is this correct?

It should be on your 2024 W-2. Individuals pay tax on a cash basis, meaning you report the income in the year received. The W-2 you received is correct.
