Ok that makes sense but I didn't know green dot sent me the card, that part was scary, I had to look real close to the back of the card to even see a tiny tiny logo. I don't have a problem with the ID part, just who suddenly asked for it!! Thank you for explaining. But still Turbo Tax should explain that more precisely ... I'm going to a CPA person next year and from now on out. Its just easier to go to a local person for your taxes I think then turbo tax, every year the site looks different. I selected to file for free and got slammed for money, I could have just gone to a local person and paid them for less and it would have been more accurate, my taxes I mean. Thanks again for answering, its just unnerving that turbo doesn't tell you about green dot, or show you so you actually see it, you can casually mention it but to let the customer know, YES its green dot and YES when you use it you share your ID with them. Then these questions wouldn't come up in the first place. Green Dots logo is so tiny on the card, on the back too. People worry about identity theft. And that is what came to my mind when this occurred, that someone was trying to get my ID. Thanks again.
