I have a 1042S form, but I do not use it in my Tax prepare, is it normal? I already finished my Federal and stated tax prepare and paid for them. But I did not use the 1042S during the preparation, i am not sure if that is right? And should i mail the 104

Turbo Tax does not support form 1042 S.  Form 1042-S is used to report income paid to a non-resident.  If you are a non-Resident alien, you need to file a 1040 NR.  Turbo Tax does not support this form.  However, Turbo Tax has partnered with Sprintax for assistance in preparing US tax returns by international filers.  See https://www.sprintax.com/non-resident-alien-tax-1040nr-turbotax.html

If you are a resident alien and you have received a form 1042 S where you report the income depends on the income code and why the form was generated.  See page 18 for a description of income codes https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1042s.pdf.

Thanks a lot. I have been working in US from august 2014 with J1 research scholar visa, so this year i am resident, and can not use Sprintax to prepare. But i did receive a 1042 S form, i don't know how to use this form now, should i file it with my 1040EZ? Btw, i already finished the Tax preparation and already paid it, how can i check if the calculation is accurate?
