I have a 1042-S form, where do I upload this information on turbo tax?
Turbo Tax does not support form 1042 S. Form 1042-S is used to report income paid to a non-resident. If you are a non-Resident alien, you need to file a 1040 NR. Turbo Tax does not support this form. However, Turbo Tax has partnered with Sprintax for assistance in preparing US tax returns by international filers. See https://www.sprintax.com/non-resident-alien-tax-1040nr-turbotax.html
If you are a resident alien and you have received a form 1042 S where you report the income depends on the income code and why the form was generated. See page 18 for a description of income codes https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1042s.pdf.

If you are eligible to file a tax return as a resident alien, you will report the income from the 1042-S on the appropriate income section of the Form 1040 and any tax withholding reported on the Form 1042-S in Deductions and credits, Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, Other Income Taxes.

Hello - Please can you advise who can help with assessment of current year tax residency and what forms we have to fill and provide to the employer? Moved to the US recently.
