I have 2 grand kids that I have custody of that started receiving survivors benefits on may 1st 2023. I am the payee I have SSA1099 for each. do I report as my income?

Their mother passed away May 1st 2023 and I was awarded custody both are minors and they live with me. Do I report their SSA 1099 as my income

No.  You don't include their income on your return. It would only go on their return if they are required to file one.  If they only get ssi or SS, SSDI or a SSA-1099 they don't have to file a return and nobody reports it.

No.   Do not put their SS on your tax return.   Someday if they have income of their own from an after school job, etc. they will include their SSA1099 on their own return.  Until/unless that happens, do not enter it anywhere.
