I filed my 2018 federal tax. I just looked over my returns and did not see Schedule A. Why? Is there an error in my return? How will you handle it?

If the program chooses the standard deduction because the amount is higher than the itemized amounts on Schedule A, you might not see the Schedule A.

  • In 2018 the standard deduction is $12,000 for single filers and married filers filing separately,
  • $24,000 for married filers filing jointly and $18,000 for heads of household.
