I filed for a hardship exemption from the health insurance penalty on my state return (new jersey); is there somewhere i can check the status of that?

thanks James. when i put my “exemption number” in a window pops up. it tells me there is no record of electronic correspondence w the info provided. am i using the right number?

You can also enter the first social security number that is listed on your return if the exemption number is not working.

If this does not work, you can call the State of New Jersey as listed below.
