I entered my user id and password for Fidelity and it's not accepting it, but when I go to Fidelity's website, it does accept. What do I do?

If you are unable to upload your form, I would recommend that you type it in manually.

Just go back to the beginning of that section of TurboTax and choose "I'll type it in myself."

Please be sure that you type it in EXACTLY as it appears on the actual form, including all numbers, codes, and checkboxes.

I have the same issue - this is obviously a TurboTax software bug.  Rather than telling people to manually enter it, would you please file a bug report with the developers?  I use a 12 digit complex password - is there a limit?

You may need to check your brokerage to see if they are allowing third-party access. Although the following Help Article is for Schwab, it is possible that your brokerage has restricted TurboTax's access to your statements unless you grant consent, and you might need to do something similar to what is described here How can I fix my 1099 import issue?

Please let us know if this helps.

I don't believe that is the issue - I've been downloading from my Fidelity accounts at least once per week into Quicken.

I called Fidelity Support.  They confirmed that since I can use my user name and password to access my account online AND I can download into Intuit Quicken that there is no reason that I can't import my documents into Turbotax, thus the issue has to be on the Turbotax end.  I did try using a short, non-complex password to rule out a password length/complexity issue, but it did not make any difference.

  1. How do I file a software bug?
