I entered my email wrong, how do I change it

Do you need to change the email address that you used for communication purposes?  Or the email address that you used as your account login?

Here are the steps to change your email address that Intuit is using for contact purposes:  

1. Sign in to your TurboTax Online account. Do not click the Take me to my return button

1. Select Intuit Account from the lower-left corner.
2. This will take you to an Account Settings screen.
3. Click Edit at the right of the E-mail address line.
4. Enter your new email address and confirm it.
5. Enter your password.
6. Click Save, and you’re done.

The email I entered when filing the return is incorrect. I received a notice that my return was rejected by IRS and I would receive an email on what to do. Since the email address was incorrect I did not get the information. I need to give them the correct email address so we can correct what ever is wrong with the return.

If the IRS has rejected your tax return, you can sign into TurboTax and correct the return there. 

For TurboTax Online, sign in to your account. On the first page, you should see the rejected returns and the codes. Click the link to enter the return and fix the reject.

For TurboTax Desktop, sign in to the account that was rejected. You will see instructions on how to fix it.

I entered the wrong email when I e-filed...how do I correct?  I submitted state and fed but did not receive notification of receipt within 48hours...I am using turbo tax desktop...

I sent my daughters yesterday and received notification for both state and federal within 24 hours.....HELP

You won't be able to change your email on the return you have already filed. You can update the email in your account.  How do I change my TurboTax account email?
