I entered interest on 1099-int . when I go back to update the button says "START" rather than "UPDATE". Why doesn't it say UPDATE?

I am reviewing my 2023 Wages & Income summary and when I choose what to work on I get a list of topics to work on.   Most buttons show either Start or Update.  If changes to Update once that topic has been worked on, but not with "Interest on 1099-INT" or "Dividends on 1099-DIV".  Is this a bug?

No, however you can change your entry.  If you did do an import, you can delete it and then select to enter it yourself for both.  

In this situation, first please try clearing the cookies and cache.   It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis. 

• Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and if you still need to try to delete them you can use the links below.  

You'll need to delete this form 1099-DIV or 1099-INT.

I am using the desktop version of turbotax, why would i clear the cache of a browser?

The data has been accepted properly but the button says start rather than update.  It has nothing to do with a browser.

Still doesn't work correctly for me on desktop version of TurboTax on 3/30.

I have also seen that income items in the Interest and Dividends section of the Wages & Income summary screen in TurboTax Desktop show "Start" instead of "Update" even after entries have been made. 

It is only the Interest and Dividends section items that have this anomalous display. The entries are still saved correctly, and appear correctly on the tax forms, so this doesn't affect the accuracy of your return.

I am reporting this issue for further review.
