I am going to assume you need the GA underpayment of estimated tax. Follow these steps:
- Open your return and go to the State Taxes tab.
- Select Georgia and continue until you reach the "Your Georgia Bottom Line" or "Review" screen.
- Look for a section titled Underpayment Penalties or Estimated Tax Penalty.
- TurboTax will ask if you want to see if you can lower your penalty or if you want to calculate the underpayment penalty.
- Answer Yes, and the software will walk you through the questions to generate Form 500-UET.
If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. See if you need to file a state extension Any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date. Pay through either Direct Pay or your individual online account.
