I don't have the same phonr number for 2 step verification

You need to update your phone number in your TurboTax account.

How do I update my TurboTax account information?

To update your TurboTax (non-Advantage) account email, phone number, mailing address, or password:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and select Intuit Account on the left, just above Sign Out (you may need to scroll down; select the 3 white lines or Tax Home if you still don't see this).
  2. Select Sign in & Security to update information like your user ID, password, phone number, or email. Or select Personal Info to update information like your name, address, or job.

To update your TurboTax Advantage account, see these instructions.

------------------------

You can also disable the two step verification option.

How do I enable or disable the two-step verification feature in TurboTax?

On laptops and desktop computers:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account, if you're not already signed in.
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Intuit Account.
  3. On the Welcome! screen, select Sign in & security.
  4. On the next screen, select Two-step verification and follow the instructions to enable or disable as desired.

The TurboTax mobile app does not support two-step verification and cannot be used to enable or disable two-step verification.

@doctorwickid66

Or are you wanting to say that you can't log into your account and thus can't update the phone number in your Intuit Account info?

Here's a way to gain access to your account using the Account Recovery tool.   Since you don't have the same phone number, then don't run it on the phone number.   Instead, run the tool on the email addresses you can access or your known User ID.    If the tool doesn't work to gain access, I'll also have a paragraph below on using an alternate method called "Try Something Else."

You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes.  To get a list of your User IDs and recover account access, you can use the tool at the link below.

NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop.  Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below.  You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your User ID and email address(es) that you can access,  here's another method:

Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, and choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.
