Enter the medical expenses that you paid out of pocket into
the Medical Expenses section of your
return. TurboTax will take you through
several different categories of expenses so that you know what can be
considered a deduction.
Medical expenses must exceed 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income
(AGI) before they are deducted. If your
amount exceeds that threshold, then they will be included on Schedule A
Itemized Deductions along with other items such as mortgage interest, property
taxes, and charitable contributions among other things.
