It sounds like you may need to update your address with the IRS. If you have already filed your 2020 tax return with the correct address, then they already have the new address. When a check is returned they will use the new address to reissue and resend your check out to that address.

- Telephone service wait times are higher on Monday and Tuesday
- It shouldn't be necessary to file the change of address but you can include it with your letter by competing Form 8822
