I can't open TurboTax Deluxe 2019 on my Mac

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to file my 2019 taxes using TurboTax Deluxe 2019 on my MacBook (previous year's). I downloaded the Macintosh version obviously and received the license code as well. However, after the successful download, I am unable to open the file. It says,

"TurboTax Deluxe 2019" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information."

This is all it shows no matter how many times I re-download it after uninstalling and I didn't even get to the part I need to add my license code.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance everyone, greatly appreciate it.

Hey everyone,

Instead of double-clicking the installed file, I right-clicked and "opened it anyways."

This worked.
