I calculating my modified adjusted gross income turbo tax appears to be adding the standard deduction of 14,600 to my adjusted gross income. Is this correct?

Turbotax is calculating a MAGI $14,600 greater than my AGI which is the value of the standard deduction. There is NO other combination of numbers I've entered into my taxes that would generate this. Is the Standard exemption part of the MAGI? I don't see that on the IRS site.

To calculate your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI), you take your AGI and add back the following:

  • student loan interest
  • one-half of self-employment tax
  • qualified tuition expenses
  • tuition and fees deduction
  • passive loss or passive income
  • IRA contributions
  • non-taxable social security payments
  • the exclusion for income from U.S. savings bonds
  • foreign earned income exclusion
  • foreign housing exclusion or deduction
  • the exclusion under 137 for adoption expenses
  • rental losses
  • any overall loss from a publicly traded partnership
