I amended my 2020 Federal and Virginia return but TT only e-filed Federal - no instructions to e-file Virginia or print to file. Why? Virginia allows e-file amended returns

Did your Virginia return change?  For example, Virginia does not tax unemployment benefits. If you amended because of an unemployment benefit issue, your Virginia return might not change.  There may be other situations where an amended federal return does not change your state return.

If you were instructed to mail your Virginia amended return, it may be the case that even though Virginia generally allows amended returns to be e-filed, TurboTax may not have permission to access that system. Sometimes tax professionals are allowed to e-file when consumer software is not.

Yes Virginia changed also due to an amended K-1 that increased net income allocation to me.
