Definitely wait for it.   E-filing does not open until Feb 12th and if you send your tax return before that, you will need to amend your tax return when you get the 1099.  And you want to avoid that if at all possible.   You can only file one tax return per year.  Any change to the original return has to be done as an amendment.

Do you know the amount of income you got?

If you know the amount, Just enter it as Cash or General income.  You don't need to get a 1099NEC or 1099K.  Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash.  Only the total goes to schedule C.

You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version.  Or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs.

When you are self-employed, you are required to keep accurate business records of all your income and expenses, and use those records to file your tax return even if you don’t receive a 1099 from one of your payers.  however, if you report less income than shown on your 1099s, you will almost certainly get a letter of inquiry from the IRS.

Additionally, the IRS will not start processing returns this year until February 12, so there is no reason to be in a hurry if there is any chance you might make a mistake. There are many last-minute tax law changes this year, and this year above all is not a year to rush.
