I am using TurboTax Deluxe 2019. I got an email that all my forms are available, but I get a blank pg after the update when trying to insert RE taxes paid. Why?

Don't believe the email ... they sometimes work off old information ... due to the late tax law changes in December the Sch A has been delayed until 1/15 subject to change again.  And since the IRS will not start processing returns until 1/27 or later you can afford to wait.
