@BleakHouse1 Sorry to be so blunt, but basically you can't finish paying.  Because TurboTax is Broken and Intuit does not care.  Has been a problem for at least 3 Years now and they have done nothing.  After fighting through it for 2 Years, I went with H&R Block Software this year.  It was cheaper and I had 0 Issues purchasing the Software or paying for the State E-Filing.  Good luck, because even Intuit Customer Service can't help you.  Only thing they will do is "suggest" that you use your Federal Refund to pay for the State Filing, for an additional $40 Fee (to them) of course.

@StatleOh it is a bug all right.  And definitely "should" be trivial to fix.  But Intuit does not care.  If they fixed it they couldn't charge people the $40 extra Fee to take it out of their Federal Refund.  Absolutely no other reason that it would have been going on for 3+ years if that were not the case.  They may have partially fixed it then, because last year even my Wife's Cards would not work.  Finally got my "Work" Card, uses a completely different (Office's) Address, to work.  Though it screwed work up a bit, accounting wise, when I paid them back.  This year I went elsewhere for software and couldn't be happier.  Had the Software Purchased/Downloaded/Installed/and Taxes Completed and Filed, all with my Primary Debit/CC that I use for everything (that Intuit would not take to even Purchase the Software let alone pay for the State Filing) with 0 Errors or Issues anywhere.  And it was a actually a bit cheaper for the Software, State Filing was the same price.

You MUST lower the resolution of the display on your computer desktop or laptop.

 

Believe or not the Display resolution in the Setting MUST BE set to 

 

1024  X  768

      or

800    X    600

Though I agree it is a horrible/useless answer.  BrneyeV’s answer is just as good as any of the “Experts” Answers that have been given in any of the threads concerning this issue, none of them work.  At least BrneyeV is not claiming to be an Expert.

@jlyng1969 @Rascle Although the answer sounds horrible, that IS WHAT WORKED FOR ME.

 

I lowered the resolution of my display screen and restarted TurboTax App on laptop and went back and Payment was ACCEPTED via CREDIT CARD!😊

 

And @jlyng1969 , I do not work for TurboTax the ONES THAT SHOULD BE REALLY FIXING YOUR PROBLEM, because Obviously I do not have that problem anymore I was only TRYING to assist You!

Same issue. Endless attempts to pay for the submission using credit card. The bank was helpful in removing all the obstacles but TurboTax keeps rejecting the payment. Waiting time on the phone is more than an hour. What a frustrating situation!

Turbotax caused me to file late this year because I was unable to pay the state e-filing fee due to Intuit repeatedly rejecting three different KNOWN WORKING credit cards.  This is utterly ridiculous!  If the software can't be relied upon to properly handle something this basic, what ELSE is it mishandling?

 

I have completely lost any faith I once had in this product.  This is my LAST year using Turbo Tax and I will ACTIVELY discourage as many other people as I can from using it.

@ratterree Is the CARD BEING Rejected by the Bank OR is the screen within TurboTax not allowing you to pay by credit card?

 

If the card is being rejected that is another issue.

But once you get to the screen within TurboTax that is ready to accept your payment method and you choose

Pay by Credit Card is the screen that I am talking about.

The rejection is from the TurboTax software. I am on a call now with a TurboTax specialist and she does not seem to know how to fix this. I have called the bank and the issue is certainly not from the credit card issuing bank. This is frustrating beyond words!
