I am still doing my 2023 taxes, late- after October, and want to import my financial docs, but it is saying it is too early. How do I make it happen?

Sorry you can only import to the current year 2024.  You can not import to 2023 anymore.   You will have to manually enter your W2s and 1099s.

Employers and financial institutions like banks, brokerages, etc. remove the documents from availability to import when the tax season ends.   It is too late to import any past year (including 2023) information now.

And---too soon for 2024 information.   Any tax documents for 2023 like 1099R's, 1099B's, etc. etc. must be keyed in by hand now; you cannot import the data.  You can seek copies from the sources and then enter the information manually.
