I am missing EIN from employer (Hobby Commission)

Hello. I am trying to file my taxes online and late, but I don't owe anything. I earned some money from art for the first time in 2019, and so I have been caught by surprise by some things.

I put the income down as a hobby. I made two transactions: one was for a family member and I was paid $125. One was for a small company and I was paid $350.

There was no distinction in the online form between the two. It asked for my total income from the hobby so I put $475.

I am being prevented from filing my taxes online because I need an employer's EIN or SSN. I was not given these from the company and did not know I needed them. A third party's e-mail (who hasn't gotten back to me yet) is the only way I have to contact this company. If I cannot get this information, will I have to file the taxes manually and make a note that I was not provided with the EIN? Do I have to provide my family member's SSN? Could either of them be penalized if I don't provide this information, and can problems arise from not being able to make a distinction between the two and so falsely contributing the wrong amount to a person? Or is this all because I filed something wrong in the first place?

Taxes are due this month on the 15th, so less than six days away. I can file it manually and mail it if worst comes to worst, but I'd rather have more information if possible before I do that. (Additionally and less urgently I have made similar transactions in 2020 from individuals who do not have an EIN and would probably be unwilling to provide their SSN, as they were just an individual purchasing art for themselves. It would be good to know what to do about this for next year.)

Thank you for your time.

To enter hobby income, in the Search box type "hobby expenses" (without the quotes), then click the link that says "Jump to hobby expenses." (I know you are entering hobby income, not expenses, but this is the simplest way to get to the right place. Hobby income and expenses are on the same screen.) When you enter it this way it will not ask for an EIN or SSN.

Did you enter the income as a 1099-MISC, even though you didn't receive a 1099-MISC? That could be why it's asking for an EIN or SSN. If that's what you did, delete the 1099-MISC that you entered.

You cannot report hobby income in TurboTax Free Edition. You will have to upgrade to Deluxe, or you might be able to use the IRS Free File Program delivered by TurboTax if you meet the requirements.

If this was your ONLY income and you are filing as single then I would not file a return at all.   The $150 from a family member I would consider a gift  in this instance and the other $350 is below the $400 filing requirement to even file a return.
