I am getting an error message IND183-01, and the IP Pin is properly included on TurboTax electronic filing. Is there help with this error?

I am getting an error message IND183-01, and the IP Pin is properly included on TurboTax electronic filing. Is there help with this error?

You might have to contact the IRS.  An IP PIN is only from the IRS..

Problem: The IRS rejected your return because the Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP-PIN) you entered for your spouse doesn't match IRS records.

 

Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account, click on File, proceed through the check out and efile process again and enter your spouse's IP-PIN on the appropriate screen and re-efile your federal and state returns for free. 

 

You can retrieve your IP-PIN here: https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin.
