Can I downgrade to a lower-priced version of TurboTax Online?
I will not be using any of the self-employed forms. Will I still be placed in the self-employed tax bracket by the IRS when filing? Any chance I can receive a service code to compensate for the price difference?
If you do not enter income earned as an independent contractor you will not have any self-employment tax for Social Security or Medicare. There is not a special "bracket" if you are self employed. The self employment tax is for Social Security and Medicare when you do not have it withheld from your pay by an employer who issued a W-2 to you.
You did use the more expensive software for self-employment but unless you want to lose it all and start over in a less expensive version, you can just pay for the software you used; that software can be used for W-2 income or any other kind of income you received. The IRS does not know or care what software you used.
Only customer support can give you a service code---and that is usually for some problem you had with the software.

One other possibility----if you qualify you can switch to Free File:
If you qualify to use it, there is another full-featured free version of the software:
Try Free File:
You qualify if your income was $39,000 or less, or $72,000 or less if active duty military, or if you qualify for Earned Income Credit
