why do i have to upgrade my turbotax to be a able to get a copy of last years taxes? i nerver had to do this before

ALWAYS save a PDF of your return (with & without the worksheets) right after the IRS accepts your return so you never need to pay to access the return.  Also save the .taxfile in case you need to amend later.  And printing a paper copy for your filing cabinet is also a wise move.
