HSA excess contribution

Hi, Why is it telling me I have excess contribution of $3380 when I only contributed $3380 for the year? It then says I can have up to $3600. I looked multiple times and dont see where it was entered twice

If the contribution is entered as a code W in box 12 of your W2 form then that is the only place it should be entered.  You do not need to enter it anywhere else on your return.

Go through the HSA interview - you have to tell TurboTax that you had HDHP coverage, then the message will go away.   But don't enter your contributions in that section again.

Search for HSA and use the Jump to HSA link.
