How to Fill out my W4 as Married Filing Jointly with my husband who's retired and receiving Senior Security benefits?

Hello!  I'm starting a new job and need to submit W4 to my new employer.  I'm selecting Married Filing Jointly; my husband is retired and receiving Social Security Benefits and we have no other reported income.  Our total household income (my wages + his Social Security) would be above the threshold.  Must I enter his SS benefit in the W$ form step 4a Other Income?

Yes, you should enter his SS benefits in 4a to get an accurate estimate of your total income so that you have enough withheld from your paychecks.   His SS may be taxable, depending on how much other income the two of you have, so you do not want to have too little withheld.   If too much is withheld, you will be able to seek a refund at tax time.
