How to filed married but separate?

in the Personal Info section, you can change whether you are filing joint or separate through the marital status question.

Depending what version you are using, you would either click Edit next to the first taxpayer listed and go through the follow-up questions or Edit next to marital status if it's listed on your Personal Info summary.

If you switch between the two, make sure that the income and deduction items are entered for both of you if you decide to file joint.  Similarly, when comparing the options, you should only enter your own income and deduction items.

You can create a second TurboTax Online account (or even a third and leave your original one joint) to test out the Married Filing Separately results.  You can use the same e-mail address, but your usernames must be different.
