This is the first year as a resident alien. I am currently a student at a university with an F-1 visa. I have been in the US for over 5 years. I received three 1042-s forms this year.
One with income code 29 appears to be bank interests from my savings account.
One with income code 23 appears to be a monetary award from the university for good academic performance.
One with income code 20 appears to be the income I receive working for the university I am a student at.
How should I file this? From my reading of 1042-s instruction, I should not file 1042-s as 1099. I might be wrong.
