I have TurboTax Desktop.
It created a Schedule C Sole Proprietor. I am trying to delete it, but every time I do, TurboTax creates it again.
How do I get rid of it?

Does Part II line 2 list income? That income is the income generating the QBID.
Remove that income and the QBID will be removed.
To clarify, did you receive a 1099 NEC or 1099 MISC? If so, what type of income is it reporting?
I did not receive a 1099 NEC or 1099 MISC.
I was going through the step-by-step to enter K-1 information and accidentally created the sole proprietor and now I can't get rid of it.
Go to the section where you created the K-1 and delete the k-1 in the summary page. Reenter the information again and see if this will clear the error.
It is not listed on the K-1 summary page.
I see the others but not the sole proprietor
Take a look at this screenshot:
There is a QBI Component for the sole proprietor. If I delete it, it just comes back.
I don't have Schedule C in my forms list.
If you go to FORMS in the upper right hand corner of the screen, do you have a form 8995 or 8995-A amongst the Federal forms?
If so, it may tell you what income is generating the QBI component.
That is the income initiating the QBI Component.
There is an 8995-A which shows the sole proprietor:
I deleted it and it came back again.
Does Part II line 2 list income? That income is the income generating the QBID.
Remove that income and the QBID will be removed.
It was all zeroes in Part II.
I found a QBI Component form for the sole proprietor. When I deleted that, I was able to finally get rid of the sole proprietor.
Thanks for the help!
